Here's CNN's exclusive interview with Mike Wooten, the ex-in-law trooper in the trooper-gate drama:
Obviously, this guy is no angel. It is even possible that he should no longer be a trooper. Fortunately, for all of us, there are procedures for this. He went through them. He was suspended. Governor Sarah Palin allegedly pushed for more after all of his disciplinary hearings had been done.
That would be borderline unacceptable behavior if it was just in general. It's your ex-brother-in-law? That really bad judgement.
His character, as they point out, is not the focus of the investigation here. It's hers.
That said, someone very smart told him to act like an angel, hold no grudges and say he's excited for Gov. Palin. No idea how honest that all was. But is was smart.
Comments welcome,
Pat McGovern
P.S. - The video will run fine in Internet Explorer. I have however had problems with CNN videos in Firefox and Google Chrome. I apologize if this is an issue but it is out of my hands.
